With the exception of the ability to edit the answers by clicking on them, you see your profile as almost identical to the one others members see for you. We’ve taken care to make them match up as perfectly as possible. So, the answer is: you don’t really need to do anything.
We will soon activate the feature in which people who have gotten the most “up votes” for interesting profiles will show up randomly on the Home page. For now, click on the “vote up” on profiles you like, so we can develop a pool of data to make this feature work!
The idea is to allow our members to decide which profiles are the most interesting and thoughtful.
Photos appropriate for your profile are clear pictures that allow members to get a good look at you. You may want to include a close up photo and then one showing you involved in a hobby so that guys can get a better idea of who you are.
You should also be fully clothed. Shirtless pics are a no-no (and we won’t approve them.) It’s not that we’re prudes or that we have anything against photos of scantily clad guys (quite the opposite), but there are plenty of sites where you can let your pecs do the talking.
Help us build a community where initial contacts among guys can be about ideas and personality rather than the cold social calculus of sex and body image.
In two words: probably not.
Although it is not mandatory, we would prefer that you include a picture to your profile. Profiles with pictures are listed first on Lovetastic. It’s all about honesty and openness. And I guarantee you look far better than you may think; don’t be shy!
In our experience, members are several times more likely to take you seriously (and send you a message) if you have included a picture.
